In response to many requests from customers, Nakaya has produced some pen accessories.
Please order these together with your Nakaya pen.
(These accessories are only available for purchase with pen orders,
and are not sold separately. We apologize for this inconvenience.)

- Pen "Pillow"-

Nakaya has produced a "pen pillow" which provides a convenient place to rest your Nakakya pen, especially during writing.
This pillow is made from wood and coated with Wajima urushi lacquer.
This pillow is perfect for Nakaya pens which have no clip and have a tendency to roll.

- "ڈغ›ئ Zo-Gan (inlaying 'Damashin')style grip section -

   We reprinted inlaying style on a grip section which was very populer during the golden period (1960's) of
    Japanese fountain pens. This is a little differnt from a true inlaying in terms of manufacturing process.
    However, the external and feeling of quality have a profound of that time.

   پ¦What is "Zo-gan" ?
  Inlaying is called Zo-gan in Japanese.
    In English, inlaying is called Damashene and this word comes from the birthplace of "Zo-gan", a place of
    Damascene city in Syria in the 8th century and came to Japan in the 14th though Silk road.

   "ڈغ"(Zo) means moulding, "›ئ"(gan) means setting.
    So Zo-gan means a technology which sets a material to different materials.
    Zo-gan which Nakaya reprinted this time is applied Maki-e technique,   so this technique does not agree
    with a complete definition, but Nakaya hopes you will recall a golden days by this Zo-gan and retro feelings
    of  a grip which has an extended shape and looks like a trumpet.

Remarks We cannot mount Zogan on a plastic grip such as Briar, Celluloid ,Acrylic body and leather roll model.

An above picture is gold Zo-gan with an ellastic nib.
And below is Zo-gan made from a white sea shell with a flexible fine nib.
Two tone color nib may be suitable for whit sea shell one.
These shape of Zo-gan are the most populer type (a diamond) , however it is available for some other design
such as "allow head" if you kindly allow to take a little more time.

White Gold Zogan       $60

Rare White Gold (WG) Zogan.
There are several process to imbed this WG plate on curved surface. We make this after recieving a customer's
order same as other Zogan.
The color looks like White sea shell one, so if you choose WG trims (a clip, band..) this Zogan will be suitable,
and if you have some 'raden' (sea shell) on the barrel, a white sea shell Zogan will be matched.

Pen on the stand is "Whale and Wave" model which is introduced at the corner of Customer's special order.

We tried to put the model sword over the pen stand.
In a double step type pen stand, how do you like to put sword and pen in two different steps.

- Fountain pen stand -
Japanese sword stand design like fountain pen stand.
It is black roiro finish in woodwork.
Even though the cost is more expensive due to the very sophisticated molding shape,

- Maki-e converter -

Nakaya has produced a maki-e converter which depicts goldfish swimming in the pool (the converter).

The goldfish converter is shown here with the Nakaya skeleton (demonstrator) model. Depending on the color of the ink, you can see the goldfish swimming in the pen. Of course, you can only see the goldfish with this skeleton model. It is also fun to put these converters in regular pens, and keep the goldfish your little secret!

- Japanese Pen Case - Nakaya calls it "Fountain pen Yatate" $580

"Yatate" (pronounced Yah-tah-teh) means a "portable writing set" which contains a bamboo brush and ink (sumi) filled with some cottons.
Nakaya has finally imitated this shape and made especially for avfountain pen.

Inside of this pen case is covered with cloth softly to prevend injury.
Netsuke is available for pen pillow. (Material is 'Magnolia obovata').
You can put your name on this case by Maki-e and it will be your origianl 'pen-Yatate' perfectly.

The design however is very plain and simple, should satisfy the requirement of various customers.
7pcs of Nakaya's equilibrium model(balance control model) of long size can be stored in it.

پںKyoto 'Nishijin-ori' textile Pen pouch $25

Pen pouch made from NIshijin textile.
We have purple base (above) and gold
base (below).

"Nishijin ori" ("ori"means textile) is
a most famous and high classcloth in Japan.
Each strings are dyed before weaving
called "saki-some"technique.

So strings comes from cloth to the surface and gorgeous feeling of quality
enough volume feeling.
