We received the 4th order of a female writer in Japan. (previous artworks
are Chinkin 3cats, Kuniyoshi cat,
and Matisse).
This artwork describes a scene of a scary cat is breaking Shoji(Japanese
paper screen) and enter.

This pen is designed when a cap is mounted, we can see beautiful willow,
but a skelton appears when a cap is removed.
A body of cat is by silver powders kneaded with white Urushi same as previous artwork, eyes are Ao-Kin (blue-gold)
and Shu, a mustache is gold. Ivy
is done by shu and black Urushi mixed with gold, dying vine is done by
black Urushi with
silver powders. A world behind broken Shoji is used in Shu color, the same color as Ayakeshi, which means a different
boundary from this world.
A skelton is described in silver powders,
willow is blue-gold, a rock is gold.
A shadow of cat is rawn by glay and black
Kanshitsu technique as seeming to be transparent behind thin Shoji
paper.
Shoji paper is done by white Kanshitsu technique
and Togi-kiri method.
The edge of 'Shoji' lattice tend to round
becuase of lacquer ware, but a craftsmen made this part squarish by special
technique.
We also create a quality of tearlig Shoji
paper and it's wrinkle.
A big face of scared cat appears and looks
horrible at first glance, however, we can feel this model is made with
a
humorous as whole with a lot of small
parts.
We could made this artwork which has a deep
charm of the cat only that was not lovely was blocked in the pen.
There are 2 pieces of original pictures of
this pen, the first one is Kunitaru Ichiyusai, the last one is populer
artists of
Nakaya, Kuniyoshi Utagawa.
