of@hChinkokuh.
A left one is curving on green Urushi surface and imbed platinum powders
to each lines.
Nakaya calls it "Chin-gin"("gin" means silver.)
A right one is impeding a charcoal powders to white Urushi surface.
This is called "Chinkoku". ("Chin means sink, "Koku"means
black.)
An artist engraves a motif by Wajima unique "Chinkin" technique on "Shu"(red) lacquer surface.
After that, an artist imbeds "Sumi"(charcoal) , goil, platinum and so on to the lines.
Nakaya calls this technique not "Chin-kin", but "Chin-koku.
The point engraving like "Chin-kin" is also engraving on a curved
surface so that difficult technique,
however, line engraving like "Chin-koku" cannot be allowed to fail and a very high skill is demanded.
This product has decoration (carving) for not only a cap and a barrel,
but also on a grip section.
Though Nakaya rarely mentions about a price , we recomend the price ($1,000)
though this quality is high.
Please read a picture under about an explanation of a motif. ("Housoge").
