-New shape of barrel by Ishi-me Kan-shitsu - Price: $700

We made a special pen barrel by a customer's reqiuirement.
A requirement this time is to mount a cap at the end of a barrel and to
prevent rolloing.
Usually, a cap of fountain pen is bigger diameter than a barrel and a barrel
also has a taper shape in order
to prevent rollong. And a clip is mounted on a cap.
On the other hand, because of the bigger cap and a clip , a beautiful finishing
by Urushi lacquer ware and Maki-e are
spolied,but there was no good solution
This model has taper shappe toward to the end of a barrel slightly,but
not so big diference. ,and a hight between a cap
and a barrel is the same. Moreover no clip., Instead of a clip, we
heap up the center of a cap by Kanshitsu powders to be angle shape so that
a cap does not roll easily. (You can see a vertical line at the center
of this cap.)
This is one instance of making a different shape (and function) by only
using Urushi and Kanshitsu powders (a solid ebonite cap is circle.).
