Cigar Portable CAMELLIA　

A camellia is decorated on white Urushi lacquer ware by Taka-Makie.

Background is white lacquered gold and camellia is black lacquered after Sumiko (charcoal) finish.

A background of pistil is made by Nashiji and gold Maki-e is applied.

Lower buds are done in silver and gold maki-e after colored Urushi lacquer coating.

The contrast between black and white makes the composition bold, but the work is backed up by technique.
