A cap is screw-type. This model has no trim and no distinction between cap and barrel. This model is piccolo and is supposed to be used without posting the cap when writing. As ebonite is a very light material it is possible to make the barrel thicker and longer. Therefore the balance point can be set easier to provide comfortable writing for everyone.
"Tame" means "pool" and "nuri" refers to the lacquer coating process. You can actually see through the layers of clear urushi lacquer as if you were looking into a pool. "Heki" is the color between blue and green. It is one of the Japanese traditional colors. "Tamenuri" means the technique which is the same one as Wajima artists use to make "Kuro-tamenuri " (blackish red -tamenuri-).
