Ryogiri Midori (Web-exclusive model)

Base color is the “Midori” inspired by the color of evergreen leaves. It was difficult to create the beautiful green because the blue-kind color development is difficult.
The green color creates glossy and brilliant finish.

Ryogiri Kikyo (Web-exclusive model）

It is designed with the image of the logs for a log house.

Base color is the “Blue” which was made after many trials and errors. It was really difficult to create the satisfying blue because there is quite few has blue color in nature.
The wonderful blue color “Kikyo” that was named after the bellflowers, creates shining glossy and brilliant finish.

Ryogiri AraiShu (Web-exclusive model）

It is designed with the image of the logs for a log house.

The color “Arai-shu” is a different kind and quaint brighter vermilion from “Shu (vermilion)”. “Arai-shu” means a light vermilion color because the color becomes lighter after washing the dyed cloth. The color can be said close to orange red. The color range is wide, from a vermilion like reddish color to a salmon pink kind of color are called “Arai-shu”.
It is one of the colors that became popular in the late Edo period with the revival of Yamato-e.

Ryogiri ShuNurihanashi (Web-exclusive model）

It is designed with the image of the logs for a log house.

The most traditional color of urushi, “Shu(vermilion)” is used and made it matte finish.
“Nuri-hanashi (unpolished)” is the technique without polishing after painting. It requires very high level techniques because there are no post processes.

D-17 Long WHALE & WAVE 　

The whale is drawn with charcoal powder and finished with a black urushi lacquer polished. The eyes are made of tiny cut gold, and the whiskers are drawn one by one and sprinkled gold powder.
The design is such that all the rough waves around the whale merge into one at the tip of the pen barrel. They are drawn with silver powder, and adding height differences to each wave, creates the looks of waves colliding violently. In addition, the waves lines of are drawn one by one with very thin golden lines. The waves are also drawn on the grip section.
The whale is boldly placed in the detailed waves on a gorgeous background applied urushi lacquer using gold powder, creating a lively and gorgeous finish.

D-17 Long MINAMOTO NO TAMETOMO　

Drawing using colored urushi lacquer to the entire surface of pen. The motif is one scene inspired by the many heroic stories of Minamoto no Tametomo, known as a master archer. Arrows are drawn on the cover using silver Taka Maki-e. The dynamic activities of Minamoto no Tametomo are expressed lively with a variety of colored urushi lacquer on a white urushi lacquer base.
Minamoto no Tametomo is a military commander and historical figure who is the uncle of Minamoto no Yoritomo.

D-17 Long FUJIN & RAIJIN

D-17 Long SUZU-NUNOME

Suzu nunome, a large part of the base is dressed with hemp cloth and fixed with urushi lacquer, then the base lacquer is applied to the nunome and black lacquer is applied. Tin powder is sprinkled and fixed with lacquer, and the texture of the cloth is polished and glazed so that the texture of the cloth appears on the axis.
The finish is scratch-resistant while maintaining a beautiful luster.
The cover part is made of “Suzu Ishime”.
The thickness of the cover is about 1mm thicker than the original thickness because it is covered with a cloth.

We expressed bats flying around freely in the middle of the night by Yakomakie (gold Makie).
The moon is drawn by Tame-Sukashi technique and clouds are thinly colored black on gold Maki-e.

D-17 Portable LONG WISTERIA

This piece features an illustration of “fuji flower (wisteria)”.
The wisteria is drawn with alternating flowers, buds and leaves, using the iro-togidashi technique, providing a glamorous look.
