Cigar Piccolo AMANOGAWA

The design inspired by the “Milky Way” shining in the night sky is expressed with Raden.
A lots of fine shellfish (Mijin shellfish) of different sizes are used and put them in a spiral pattern with a gradation.
By making the base in black (KuroRoiro), the shine of Raden stands out, creating a finish that looks just like the Milky Way shining in the night sky.

Cigar Portable MANTEN

A starry sky is expressed by scattering small shellfish all over the black (KuroRoiro) base. Then the Milky Way more shining brightly is drawn in a spiral pattern in the starry sky. Also shellfishes are spread all over the grip section to create the feeling of a starry sky.
It has a more gorgeous and glittering finish than “Milky Way”.

Cigar Long HORRIBLE SKELETON

Some apparition try to escape from between grip section and barrel or barrel itself so they make a crack on the barrel. The skeleton excludes us from the cracking space in the reproachful. One long arm of apparition expand from another crack. Inside of crack , there are fire flame , ghost, and lantern ghost…. But also this pen has also described “Dokkosho”. “Dokkosho” is magic bar which made evil things flee. So you can avoid every bad thing! Some of these apparition is described by a very famous Ukiyoe artist in Japan named Hokusai Katsushika (1760-1849). Maki-e technique ; Background is mainly used Koboku-shiage (ancient Indian ink powders finishing) ,Skelton and arm is Taka-makie (silver powder heaping up mathod). Apparition inside of crack. Mainly used tin round polished powders in Shu(red) color.

Cigar Long WORLD of CHAOS　

The motifs are mysterious creatures that have been resurrected from the Paleozoic Era, which does not exist in this world, or have wandered in from another dimension and been mutated and synthesized.
The base color is matte black of charcoal powder. On top of that, we used silver Taka-Maki-e and heaping up expression of black Urushi lacquer in some parts. A slight smoked shade in silver Taka-Maki-e enhances the three-dimensional effect. I think that the dry and grotesque atmosphere was brought out by using monochrome coloring throughout.

Cigar Piccolo SHAKEI-SONSETSU

The motif comes from the Shakei-Sonsetsu, a four-character idioms.
It means to study even if one is in a very difficult situation.
The four-character idioms comes from the story that Che Yin, a old Chinese politician read under the weak light of firefly in summer, and Sun Kang, a old Chinese official read with the moon light reflected by snow in winter.

Cigar Long FLYING DRAGON

The flying dragon is expressed by a special technique using charcoal powder and heaping it up with urushi lacquer.

Cigar Portable SPIDER

Nakaya expressed a Spider (Kumo) by “Sumiko” (charcoal powder) technique. The web was written by a thin brush pen and polished up (“togi-dashi”) after sprinking silver powders. The Spider has an appearance of solidity by “Taka-Maki-e” heaping up technology with black and yellow Urushi lacquer and polish up. (“togi-dashi”). Lastly, we added in detail parts of the Spider and polished up as Roiro (gross) finishing. On the grip section, a craftman used gold powder as base. A flower was written in gold, a butterfly was heaped up by Urushi lacquer and sprinkled by gold powder and rubbed with black and white Urushi and polished. (“togi-dashi”).

Cigar Long SUIGYO　

A fish swimming slowly in the water is expressed using Raden. The motif is drawn by pasting thinly cut seashells one by one.
A fish is drawn on the cap and a stream of water is drawn on the barrel.
The cool colors, Shobu is used for the base, imagining “in the water”.

Cigar Long SPERM WHALE & GIANT SQUID　

The design on this pen represents a fight between a sperm whale and a giant squid unfolding in the deep sea.

The whale is finished with Sumiko and the squid with Taka-Makie.

This provides a wonderful contrast, which is further accented by a stream of water in Raden.

Cigar Long OWL & MOON

The black background without blurring clearly highlights the owl motif.
