Cigar Long Kuro-tame Ishime　

“Kuro-tame Ishime” uses the shu (vermilion) lacquer for a base color and a black dry lacquer powder.
The finish becomes rough and powerful like a lava, the same as “Ishime kanshitsu, Aka-tamenuri”. “Ishime kanshitsu, Kuro-tamenuri” has a darker color because it uses the shuai urushi lacquer mixed with black lacquer for the finish.

“Ishime” is created with the special technique that makes stone like texture on the surface. When the dry lacquer powder is sprinkled on a lacquered surface, surface tension works and the powder gathered in places.
