It is designed with the image of a Katana, a sword.
The combination of the pinkish base color inspired by the Japanese traditional color “toki-iro” and the upper lacquer, shuai urushi create very soft a bright finish.
“Tamenuri” has the characteristics of translucent amber color like being sucked in, so you can clearly see how the lacquer has accumulated.

Dorsal Fin 1 Kuro-tame Ishime

“Ishime kanshitsu, Kuro-tamenuri” uses the shu (vermilion) lacquer for a base color and a black dry lacquer powder.
The finish becomes rough and powerful like a lava, the same as “Ishime kanshitsu, Aka-tamenuri”.
“Ishime kanshitsu, Kuro-tamenuri” has a darker color because it uses the shuai urushi lacquer mixed with black lacquer for the finish.
“Ishime” is created with the special technique that makes stone like texture on the surface.
When the dry lacquer powder is sprinkled on a lacquered surface, surface tension works and the powder gathered in places.
Making use of the clumps created by chance, layer the lacquer, let it fix, and then polish it to create “Ishime”.
It will be the “cobblestone-like” finish in the garden.
